F.A.Q
Is it guaranteed to see the aurora during the trip? Do you need to sign up for a tour?
This activity cannot guarantee 100% visibility of the Northern Lights. The Aurora is a purely natural phenomenon, not artificial light. The northern European aurora season is from mid to late September every year. In mid-April of the following year, it mainly depends on whether there is darkness. The aurora is a purely natural phenomenon and cannot be observed during daytime, strong light pollution, or cloudy weather conditions. Detected. If local conditions are not available, it is recommended to join a special light chasing group. The local guide has many years of observation experience and will drive to the specific location. Where there are observation conditions, the probability of seeing the Northern Lights can be increased.
When does the icebreaker activity start? Which icebreaker will you take on your trip? Can children go?
Icebreaker activities generally take place from early December to early April of the following year. SAMPO and Arktis in Kemi, Finland, Polar in Sweden, all icebreakers activities include sea rafting, ice walking (if the ice is thick enough) and icebreaker cruising certificates. Our first choice for our itinerary is Polar, Sweden icebreaker. Anyone of any age can participate in this activity. Since the minimum size of the floatation suit is 125cm, children under 125cm are not eligible. You are not allowed to participate in floating activities at sea, and there are no other restrictions.
Can the Saariselkä activity package be booked on the same day?
Nordic activities are all based on a reservation system, and most registrations on the day will not be available or will not be accepted. The Saariselka event is a cooperative project between our agency and the Glass House. The preferential price for booking at famous times is highly recommended for tourists to book in advance. If purchased on the spot or booked later, the standard original price of the Glass House Hotel will be applied.
Can I book activities on the day when we arrive at the location?
Most Nordic activities need to be booked 3-5 days in advance. During the peak season, there are usually no seats available for same-day registration, so please register as early as possible.
