Free choice to explore local cuisine with guide recommendations

Upon your arrival at Nanjing Railway Station, enjoy seamless private pick-up service. Transfer comfortably to the city center hotel for check-in and brief rest, adapting to the ancient capital's atmosphere with no rushed schedule.

Firstly, led by our professional bilingual tour guide, we took a private car for about thirty minutes from the high-speed railway station to reach the Jiming Temple scenic area, honored as the "First Temple of the Southern Dynasties", with elegant ancient pavilions, quiet courtyards and profound 1,700-year-old Buddhist culture, offering a peaceful spiritual retreat.

After that, take a ten minute private car to Xuanwu Lake, the largest royal garden lake in southern China, featuring rippling lake water, winding causeways and lush shore scenery, enjoying the harmonious view of ancient city wall and urban ecological landscape. Strolling around Xuanwu Lake for about 2-3 hours, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan charm, and then heading to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a local specialty dinner.

After dinner, we went to Confucius Temple and Qinhuai River to enjoy the night view of Jiangnan. When night falls, thousands of lanterns illuminate the ancient waterfront, creating prosperous and romantic Jiangnan night scenery. After about an hour of leisure travel, our private car will take you back to your hotel to rest and end your first day's itinerary.

Day 2 | Nanjing:Purple Mountain Scenic Area, Nanjing Museum & Niushoushan Cultural Park

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Free choice to explore local cuisine with guide recommendations

Head to Purple Mountain scenic area. Visit Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with grand imperial mausoleum layout, sacred stone paths and delicate stone carvings, fully displaying Ming Dynasty imperial ritual system and craftsmanship. Then explore Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, featuring grand symmetrical republican architecture and layered steps, enjoying panoramic mountain and city views while learning modern revolutionary history. The entire tour takes approximately 2-3 hours.

After lunch, visit Nanjing Museum, one of China's top national museums, displaying rich collections of six-dynasty relics, Ming and Qing art and republican cultural heritage, systematically presenting Nanjing's millennial civilization.

Then explore Niushoushan Cultural Park, famous for its stunning modern Buddhist architecture, solemn relic exhibition and elegant mountain ecology, combining traditional Buddhist culture and contemporary artistic aesthetics. Entering the park from the west gate, one can easily reach the underground palace and the Thousand Buddha Hall by taking the cable car and escalator. After touring here for about twenty minutes, go to the Buddha Peak Tower to climb high, and return from the original route in about 30 minutes. Overnight in Nanjing.

Day 3 | Nanjing to Wuxi by High-speed Train: Taihu Lake & Lingshan Buddhist Scenic Area

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Free choice to explore local cuisine with guide recommendations

Take a comfortable high-speed train from Nanjing to Wuxi (around 1 hour). Private car picks you up at the railway station and transfers to Turtle Head Isle (Yuantouzhu), known as the "Best Scenery of Taihu Lake". Surrounded by vast Taihu water, the peninsula features lush forests, winding lake shorelines, open lake views and elegant garden clusters, presenting the gentle and grand charm of Jiangnan's largest freshwater lake.

Continue your relaxed in-depth sightseeing at Turtle Head Isle. Take your time to wander the quiet lakeside trails, coastal gardens and waterfront viewing platforms, fully enjoying the vast and gentle scenery of Taihu Lake. You can take a leisurely lake boat ride to visit the offshore islands, watch rippling lake water and distant mountain silhouettes, and experience the serene and elegant Jiangnan lakeside charm. The whole afternoon keeps a super relaxed pace with no crowded scenic spots or rushed schedules, allowing you to unwind and capture beautiful natural scenery.

Strongly recommended: You can choose the cherry blossom season from March to April to visit. Yuantouzhu, Wuxi, is one of the three major cherry appreciation resorts in the world, with 30000 cherry blossoms blooming in turn, and the Taihu Lake Lake is covered with cherry blossoms, which is very beautiful.

After a full day of relaxed Taihu Lake sightseeing, visit Nianhua Bay, a low-key and elegant Zen-themed ancient town. Featuring primitive Tang-style architecture, running water courtyards, quiet stone paths and soft warm lantern lights at night, the scenic spot creates a tranquil, poetic and healing Zen atmosphere, perfectly matching the leisurely rhythm of the day. It is an ideal place to enjoy peaceful night scenery away from urban bustle. Overnight in Wuxi.

Day 4 | Wuxi: Full-Day Lingshan Buddha Tour, Evening Transfer to Suzhou & Guanqian Street Free Leisure

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Free choice to explore local cuisine with guide recommendations

Enjoy a relaxed full-day in-depth visit to Wuxi Lingshan Buddhist Scenic Spot, one of China's most prestigious Zen cultural resorts. The core highlight is the towering 88-meter giant Lingshan Buddha statue, standing grandly against the mountain and lake, representing solemn Buddhist culture and exquisite ancient carving art. Wander through well-arranged temple complexes, peaceful prayer squares and artistic landscape zones, listen to professional cultural interpretation of Buddhist stories and local customs. The magnificent Vatican Palace features stunning hollow carvings, grand dome architecture and sacred decorative details, presenting a perfect combination of traditional Buddhist inheritance and modern artistic aesthetics. The entire tour maintains a comfortable pace, allowing ample time for sightseeing, photo-taking and spiritual relaxation.

After concluding the Lingshan Buddha tour, take a short and comfortable high-speed train from Wuxi to Suzhou. Upon arrival, private car provides seamless station pick-up and hotel check-in service. In the evening, stroll Guanqian Street, Suzhou's most prosperous and historic commercial pedestrian street. Blending ancient Suzhou tradition and modern urban vitality, the street gathers time-honored local restaurants, traditional snack stalls, folk handicraft stores and trendy boutiques. You can freely taste authentic Suzhou dim sum, local delicacies and stroll ancient street scenery at your own pace. Overnight in Suzhou.

Day 5 | Suzhou: Huqiu Wetland Park, Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum & Qili Shantang Street

Accommodation Accommodation:
4-star/5-star standard room
MealMeal:
Free choice to explore local cuisine with guide recommendations

Start the day with a relaxing visit to Huqiu Wetland Park, known as "Suzhou Urban Green Lung". As a large original ecological wetland scenic area, it features vast lake wetlands, dense cedar forests, winding wooden plank roads and seasonal lotus and water lily landscapes. With fresh oxygen-rich air, peaceful water scenery and diverse wetland plants, the park presents a pure and healing Jiangnan natural ecology. It offers flat walking routes and low-intensity sightseeing, perfect for casual strolling, nature appreciation and family leisure time away from crowded scenic spots.

Proceed to visit Humble Administrator's Garden, the top UNESCO World Heritage classical garden in China. Adopting flexible water-centered layout, elegant pavilions, layered rockeries and winding corridors, it fully embodies the subtle, implicit and poetic aesthetic of Suzhou garden art. Afterwards, explore Suzhou Museum designed by the renowned architect I.M. Pei. Perfectly integrating minimalist modern design and traditional Jiangnan garden charm, the museum houses precious ancient paintings, calligraphy and cultural relics, showcasing Suzhou's profound millennial history and artistic heritage.

As night falls, start the classic Shantang Street night sightseeing. The thousand-year-old water town street is decorated with warm lanterns, with ancient rivers, stone bridges and riverside wooden houses restoring the prosperous night style of ancient Suzhou. You can stroll the quiet ancient lanes, enjoy the shimmering river night scenery, taste local evening snacks and experience the authentic and romantic Jiangnan waterfront night atmosphere. Overnight in Suzhou.

Day 6 | Suzhou: Lingering Garden, Hanshan Temple, Optional Water Town & Railway Station Transfer

Accommodation Accommodation:

MealMeal:
Free choice to explore local cuisine with guide recommendations

After breakfast, visit Lingering Garden, another UNESCO world-famous Suzhou classical garden masterpiece. Famous for its exquisite spatial layout, layered changing scenery and delicate stone carving art, it represents the supreme level of Jiangnan garden architecture. Here, you can fully experience four types of scenery: mountains, rivers, courtyards, forests, and countryside. After 1-2 hours of sightseeing, our private car will take you to the next attraction.

Then explore Hanshan Temple, a world-renowned ancient Buddhist temple with a 1,500-year history. Admire ancient temple courtyards, century-old bell culture and poetic Jiangnan temple scenery, experiencing the profound Buddhist and literary heritage passed down through ancient poems. We will enter from the West Gate, first pay respects in various halls, then ring the bell, eat noodles or invite bracelets, and finally return to the West Gate. The whole process takes about 2 hours.

Option 1: Zhouzhuang Water Town – Known as the No.1 Water Town in China and a world-famous Jiangnan water town landmark, Zhouzhuang boasts a 900-year-old complete ancient town layout. It features dense well-preserved Ming and Qing ancient dwellings, iconic double bridges (Key Bridge), crisscross water networks and classic waterfront corridor scenery. As the most representative and mature water town in Jiangnan, it has profound historical heritage, complete supporting facilities and stunning photogenic water-and-bridge landscapes, perfect for travelers who pursue classic postcard-style Jiangnan water town scenery and rich humanistic stories. You can wander bluestone ancient lanes, take a leisurely rowboat gliding through winding water alleys, and experience the prosperous and elegant ancient water town charm.

Option 2: Tongli Water Town – A quiet and original ancient water town with fewer crowds and strong local lifestyle atmosphere. Different from the bustling Zhouzhuang, Tongli retains authentic daily vitality of local residents, with simple ancient streets, primitive waterfront houses and serene water scenery. It is famous for its unique "water surrounding houses and streets crossing rivers" pattern and tranquil ecological environment. Ideal for family travelers and leisure visitors who prefer slow-paced sightseeing, quiet atmosphere and original folk customs, allowing you to stay away from crowds and enjoy the pure and healing Jiangnan water town lifestyle.

After your selected water town sightseeing, take exclusive private car transfer directly to Suzhou railway station, completing your wonderful 6-day charming Jiangsu cross-city tour.

What Our Travelers Say

Much more fun than I expected

I booked this mostly because my husband is obsessed with anything involving AI, but I ended up enjoying it just as much. The driverless taxi was the biggest surprise — sitting inside and watching the car make its own decisions felt a little strange at first! The robot dog was also hilarious. Our guide explained things without making it feel like a technology lecture, which I really appreciated.

Thanks, Eamon! We love hearing that the tour surprised you in the best way. The driverless taxi can feel a little odd at first, but once you settle in, it's a pretty memorable experience. Glad you both had fun exploring Shenzhen's tech side!

The trains made the route surprisingly easy

I had never traveled around China by high-speed train before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Once we got the hang of it, it was actually one of the easiest parts of the trip. Having someone meet us at the stations was especially helpful because some of the stations are enormous. We could just get off the train, find our driver and move on.

Thanks, Marlowe! Glad to hear our train journeys turned out to be easier than expected. Those big stations can definitely feel a bit overwhelming at first, so it's great to hear that having our driver there made things smoother. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the trip!

A Photographer's Kind of Day

If you like old architecture, bring a camera. Badaguan was probably my favorite part because every street seemed to have a slightly different look. The church and railway station were also great photo stops. I liked that the tour wasn't only about famous sights — there was plenty of time to notice small details along the way.

Thanks, Soren! We're delighted that the architectural side of Qingdao caught your eye. The city has so many small details that are easy to miss when you're in a hurry.

Definitely earned its reputation

I knew Mount Tai would be the big highlight for me, but it was still better than expected. The views kept changing as we went higher, and there was something really special about seeing the old temples and inscriptions along the mountain. The whole trip was also very well organized. We had enough time at each place without feeling like we were constantly watching the clock.
