Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin exploring the heart of Beijing — a city where imperial history and Islamic culture have coexisted for centuries.

Your first stop is Tiananmen Square, one of the world's largest public squares and a symbol of modern China. Standing here, you can feel the historical importance of Beijing as you look across the grand avenues and traditional architectural landmarks surrounding the square.

Continue to the magnificent Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of China's Ming and Qing dynasties. Walking through its impressive gates, golden rooftops, and carefully designed courtyards, your guide will share stories about emperors, royal ceremonies, and the traditions hidden behind these ancient walls.

For lunch, we will arrange a Muslim-friendly restaurant where you can enjoy authentic local flavors prepared according to halal requirements.

In the afternoon, visit Niujie Mosque, Beijing's oldest and most famous mosque. Unlike Middle Eastern-style mosques, Niujie Mosque combines Islamic traditions with traditional Chinese architecture, making it a fascinating place to understand how Islam developed along the Silk Road and became part of Chinese culture.

Your final stop is the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors once prayed for good harvests. The peaceful gardens and unique circular architecture offer a beautiful contrast to the busy city center.

After sightseeing, your driver will take you back to your hotel for a comfortable rest.

Day 3 Beijing: Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Bird Nest & Water Cube

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today, prepare for one of the highlights of your China journey — the legendary Great Wall. After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most scenic and less crowded sections of the Great Wall. Surrounded by mountains covered with greenery in summer and colorful forests in autumn, Mutianyu offers breathtaking views and a more enjoyable walking experience compared with busier sections.

Your guide will help arrange the cable car option if needed, allowing you to save energy and spend more time appreciating the spectacular mountain scenery. As you walk along the ancient walls, you will learn how this incredible defense system protected ancient China for centuries.

Enjoy a local halal lunch nearby before continuing to the Ming Tombs, the burial complex of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors. Walking along the peaceful Sacred Way, you will see impressive stone statues and experience the traditional Chinese concept of harmony between humans and nature.

On the way back to Beijing city, stop for photo opportunities at the Bird's Nest National Stadium and Water Cube, the iconic venues from the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Your driver will return you safely to your hotel after a full day of exploration.

Day 4 Beijing: Summer Palace, Flight to Urumqi

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, check out from your Beijing hotel and start your final Beijing sightseeing experience at the beautiful Summer Palace. Known as the royal garden of the Qing Dynasty, the Summer Palace combines peaceful lakes, traditional pavilions, and beautiful landscapes. Strolling along the Long Corridor and overlooking Kunming Lake, you will discover why this place was considered a perfect retreat for Chinese emperors and royal families. Your guide will share stories about Empress Dowager Cixi and explain the unique garden design that reflects traditional Chinese philosophy.

After a halal lunch, your driver will transfer you to Beijing airport for your flight to Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang.

Upon arrival, our local Xinjiang driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Urumqi marks the beginning of your Silk Road adventure, where you will discover a completely different side of China — wide landscapes, multicultural communities, and ancient trade routes connecting East and West.

Day 5 Urumqi: Xinjiang Regional Museum, Red Hill Park, Flight to Kashgar

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private driver will meet you at your hotel and begin your first exploration of Xinjiang, a vast land where different civilizations, cultures, and religions have met along the ancient Silk Road for thousands of years.

Your first stop is the Xinjiang Regional Museum, one of the best places to understand the history and cultural diversity of this unique region. Unlike the traditional image of China's eastern cities, Xinjiang has always been a crossroads between China, Central Asia, and beyond. Inside the museum, you will discover collections of ancient Silk Road artifacts, beautifully preserved textiles, pottery, and historical exhibits that reveal the stories of the many ethnic groups who have lived here. One of the highlights is the collection related to the ancient Silk Road, where you can learn how merchants, travelers, and explorers once passed through Xinjiang, bringing goods, languages, and ideas from different parts of the world. Your guide will help explain the historical background behind the exhibits, making your visit much more meaningful instead of simply viewing the displays.

After the museum visit, enjoy a Muslim-friendly lunch featuring authentic Xinjiang cuisine. Xinjiang is famous throughout China for its unique flavors influenced by Central Asian traditions. Depending on your preference, you may enjoy local specialties such as hand-pulled noodles, roasted lamb skewers, Xinjiang-style rice, and fresh seasonal fruits.

In the afternoon, continue to Red Hill Park (Hongshan Park), one of Urumqi's most famous landmarks and the perfect place to get your first impression of the city. Standing on the hilltop, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Urumqi, with the modern city stretching below and the distant Tianshan Mountains forming a dramatic backdrop. This peaceful viewpoint also gives you a chance to appreciate the special geography of Xinjiang — a city surrounded by mountains, deserts, and wide-open landscapes that feels completely different from Beijing's imperial atmosphere.

Later, your driver will transfer you to Urumqi Airport for your flight to Kashgar, one of the most fascinating cities along the ancient Silk Road.

After arriving in Kashgar, our local team will meet you at the airport and provide a private transfer to your hotel. As you settle in, you will begin to feel the unique atmosphere of this historic city, where traditional markets, Islamic architecture, and centuries-old Silk Road culture are still part of everyday life.

Day 6 Kashgar: Kashgar Old Town, Abakh Hoja Mausoleum, Id Kah Mosque & Grand Bazaar

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your local guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin exploring Kashgar, one of the most culturally unique cities in China and a legendary stop on the ancient Silk Road. Unlike modern cities, Kashgar still preserves the atmosphere of an old Silk Road trading center.

Your first stop is Kashgar Old Town, where narrow lanes, traditional homes, colorful wooden doors, and local workshops create a completely different China experience. As you walk through the old streets, you will see daily life unfolding around you — craftsmen making traditional handicrafts, local families enjoying tea, and shop owners welcoming guests into their small stores. Your guide will share stories about how Kashgar became an important meeting point between China, Central Asia, and the Islamic world.

Continue to the Abakh Hoja Mausoleum, one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture in Xinjiang. Built in the 17th century, this elegant complex features beautiful blue-and-green glazed tiles, traditional domes, and peaceful courtyards. Your guide will introduce the history of the Abakh Hoja family and explain the important role this site has played in local culture.

Enjoy a Muslim-friendly lunch featuring Kashgar specialties, allowing you to experience the unique flavors of southern Xinjiang. Local dishes often include hand-pulled noodles, roasted lamb, naan bread, and fresh fruits from the region's famous orchards.

In the afternoon, visit Id Kah Mosque, the largest mosque in Xinjiang and one of the most important Islamic landmarks in China. Located in the heart of Kashgar, the mosque has witnessed centuries of religious and community life. The combination of Islamic design elements and traditional Chinese architectural features makes it a fascinating place to understand the development of Islam along the Silk Road.

Your final stop is Kashgar Grand Bazaar, a lively marketplace that reflects the city's historic role as a trading hub. From spices and dried fruits to traditional crafts and local products, the bazaar offers a glimpse into the vibrant commercial culture that has connected different civilizations for centuries.

After sightseeing, your driver will take you back to your hotel. You can relax and enjoy the evening atmosphere of Kashgar at your own pace.

Day 7 Kashgar – Flight to Urumqi: Heavenly Lake, Drive to Turpan

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to Kashgar Airport for your flight back to Urumqi, the gateway to northern Xinjiang.

Upon arrival, your local guide will welcome you and take you to explore one of Xinjiang's most beautiful natural wonders — Heavenly Lake (Tianchi). Located on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains, Heavenly Lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, green forests, and crystal-clear waters. The scenery here feels completely different from the desert landscapes often associated with Xinjiang. Standing beside the lake, you can enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere and appreciate the incredible diversity of this region. Your guide will explain the legends and cultural significance of the Tianshan Mountains while helping you choose the best viewpoints for photos.

Enjoy a Muslim-friendly lunch before continuing your journey toward Turpan, an ancient oasis city located in a desert basin along the Silk Road. The drive itself is a unique experience, allowing you to see the changing landscapes of Xinjiang — from mountain scenery to vast desert areas and endless open horizons.

Upon arrival in Turpan, check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 8 Turpan: Gaochang Ancient City, Flaming Mountain, Emin Minaret & Karez Wells

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, start exploring Turpan, an ancient oasis that once played a key role along the Silk Road.

Your first visit is the Ruins of Gaochang Ancient City, a remarkable historical site that dates back more than 1,000 years. Once a prosperous trading center connecting China with Central Asia, Gaochang was home to merchants, travelers, and different cultures passing through the Silk Road. Walking among the remaining city walls, temples, and ruins, you can imagine the lively scenes of this ancient city when caravans stopped here during their long journeys across the desert.

Enjoy a local halal lunch before continuing to the famous Flaming Mountain, one of Xinjiang's most recognizable landscapes. The red-colored mountains stretch across the horizon and become especially dramatic under the sunlight. Your guide will share stories about the mountain's role in local legends and explain the unique desert environment of Turpan.

Next, visit the Emin Minaret, the tallest ancient Islamic tower in China. Built in the 18th century, this beautiful structure combines Islamic architectural influences with traditional local design. Its unique brick patterns reflect the cultural exchanges that took place along the Silk Road.

Your final stop is the Karez Wells, an ancient underground irrigation system that transformed Turpan's dry desert landscape into a fertile oasis. Here, you will learn how local people used their knowledge and creativity to survive in one of China's hottest regions.

After the tour, return to your hotel for a comfortable evening.

Day 9 Turpan – Bullet Train to Dunhuang: Singing Sand Dunes & Crescent Moon Spring

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the train station for your high-speed train journey to Dunhuang, another legendary Silk Road destination. During the journey, you will travel through the vast landscapes of western China, passing desert scenery and remote areas that once witnessed countless Silk Road caravans.

Upon arrival in Dunhuang, your local guide will meet you at the station and take you for lunch at a Muslim-friendly restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit the famous Mingsha Mountain (Singing Sand Dunes) and Crescent Moon Spring, one of Dunhuang's most iconic landscapes. The golden sand dunes rise dramatically from the desert, and when the wind moves across the sands, they create a mysterious sound that has inspired legends for centuries. You can choose to walk across the dunes, ride a camel, or simply enjoy the sunset views over the desert. Hidden between the dunes, the Crescent Moon Spring creates a stunning contrast between water and desert. This unique landscape has survived for thousands of years and remains one of the most unforgettable sights along the Silk Road.

After enjoying the desert sunset, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 10 Dunhuang Mogao Caves: Flight to Xi'an

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin exploring Dunhuang's greatest cultural treasure — the Mogao Caves. Recognized as one of the world's most important collections of Buddhist art, the Mogao Caves contain thousands of murals, sculptures, and artworks created over many centuries. As a major stop on the ancient Silk Road, Dunhuang became a place where different cultures and artistic traditions met.

During your visit, your guide will explain the stories behind the murals, the development of Buddhist art, and how travelers from different regions contributed to the cultural exchange that shaped this extraordinary site.

After the visit, enjoy a Muslim-friendly lunch before your driver transfers you to Dunhuang Airport for your flight to Xi'an.

Arriving in Xi'an, the ancient capital of China and the starting point of the Silk Road, you will continue discovering the deep connection between Chinese history and Islamic culture. Our local team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 11 Xi'an: Terracotta Warriors, Bell & Drum Tower Square, Great Mosque & Muslim Quarter

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin exploring Xi'an, one of the most historically significant cities in China and the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road.

Your first stop is the world-famous Terracotta Warriors, often described as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Located outside Xi'an, this incredible underground army was created more than 2,000 years ago to protect China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in the afterlife. As you walk through the exhibition halls, you will see thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots, each with unique facial expressions and details. Your guide will explain how this massive project was built, why it was created, and how it reflects the power and ambition of ancient China.

After exploring the Terracotta Warriors, enjoy a Muslim-friendly lunch featuring Xi'an specialties. Xi'an is famous for its diverse food culture, especially its halal cuisine influenced by generations of Muslim communities living along the Silk Road. You may try local favorites such as lamb dishes, hand-pulled noodles, roujiamo (Chinese-style meat sandwich), and traditional snacks from the Muslim Quarter.

In the afternoon, return to the city center and visit Bell and Drum Tower Square, where two of Xi'an's most iconic landmarks stand as reminders of the city's ancient role as China's capital. Your guide will share stories about how these towers once marked time and served as important symbols of imperial cities.

Continue to the Great Mosque, one of the oldest and most famous mosques in China. Unlike traditional Middle Eastern mosques, Xi'an Great Mosque beautifully combines Islamic religious features with Chinese architectural styles. Walking through its peaceful courtyards, you will discover how Islam adapted and developed in China through centuries of cultural exchange.

Your final stop is the lively Muslim Quarter, a historic neighborhood filled with traditional streets, local markets, and authentic halal food stalls. Here, you can experience the atmosphere of an old Silk Road community — from the aroma of grilled lamb to the sounds of local vendors.

After the tour, your driver will return you to your hotel, allowing you to relax after a meaningful day of history, culture, and cuisine.

Day 12 Xi'an: Little Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi'an Museum, Ancient City Wall, Flight to Shanghai

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and continue exploring Xi'an before your evening flight to Shanghai.

Start your day at the Little Wild Goose Pagoda, a peaceful ancient Buddhist structure built during the Tang Dynasty. Located in a quiet cultural area away from the city's busy streets, the pagoda offers a glimpse into Xi'an's golden age when the Tang capital welcomed travelers, scholars, and merchants from across Asia. Your guide will introduce the history of the Tang Dynasty and explain how Xi'an became an international city where different religions, cultures, and ideas met — including the development of Islam through Silk Road connections.

Next, visit the nearby Xi'an Museum, where you can gain a deeper understanding of the city's long history through historical artifacts, ancient artworks, and exhibitions covering different dynasties.

Enjoy a Muslim-friendly lunch before continuing to one of Xi'an's most impressive landmarks — the Ancient City Wall. The Xi'an City Wall is one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China. Walking or cycling along the top of the wall, you can enjoy panoramic views of both the traditional city layout and modern Xi'an. It is a perfect place to appreciate how the ancient capital has continued to grow while preserving its historical identity.

Later, your driver will transfer you to Xi'an Airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, our Shanghai team will meet you at the airport and provide a private transfer to your hotel. As you move from ancient Xi'an to modern Shanghai, you will experience another fascinating side of China — where history and innovation exist side by side.

Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your Shanghai guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel for your final full day of exploration.

Begin your Shanghai journey at Yuyuan Garden, a beautiful classical Chinese garden located in the heart of the old city. With its traditional pavilions, rockeries, ponds, and winding pathways, the garden offers a peaceful escape and shows the elegant design philosophy of ancient Chinese gardens.

Next, explore the nearby the City God Temple area, one of Shanghai's most famous traditional neighborhoods. Here, historic streets, old-style architecture, and local shops create a lively atmosphere where you can experience Shanghai's traditional side.

Enjoy a Muslim-friendly lunch before continuing to Shanghai's most iconic waterfront area — The Bund. Standing along the Huangpu River, you will see Shanghai's famous skyline, where historic European-style buildings face the futuristic skyscrapers of Pudong. Your guide will explain how Shanghai developed from a trading port into one of the world's most influential cities.

Continue walking along Nanjing Road, Shanghai's most famous shopping street. The bright signs, historic department stores, and modern atmosphere show the energetic character of today's Shanghai.

In the afternoon, visit Xiaotaoyuan Mosque, one of Shanghai's important Islamic landmarks. This mosque reflects the long history of the Muslim community in Shanghai and provides another opportunity to understand how Islamic culture has continued to develop in different regions of China.

Your final cultural stop is the Shanghai Museum, where you can explore China's artistic heritage through collections of ancient ceramics, jade, calligraphy, and traditional artworks.

A peaceful escape from Hangzhou

We wanted to visit Putuo Mountain but were worried about the complicated transportation connections from Hangzhou. This private tour made everything much easier. The driver picked us up from our hotel in the morning, helped us with the ferry transfer, and explained what to expect before arriving on the island. Putuo Mountain itself was beautiful and peaceful. Walking through the temples surrounded by trees and hearing the ocean nearby was a very special experience. We never felt rushed, which made the trip much more enjoyable.

Questions about Putuo Island

Hi, I'm interested in this private tour because we would like to experience the cultural side of Putuo Island rather than just visit the famous spots. I have a few questions:
1. Are the temples on Putuo Island very crowded? Is there a better time of day to visit them?
2. Do we need to follow any special rules when visiting Buddhist temples?
3. Will we have time to enjoy the seaside scenery, or is the itinerary mainly focused on temples?

Hi Caelan,
Thank you for your questions! We really appreciate that you are interested in experiencing the deeper cultural side of Putuo Island. It is not only a Buddhist destination but also a beautiful island with forests, beaches, and coastal scenery.
1. The main temples, especially Puji Temple, can become busy during weekends and holiday periods. To provide a better experience, our guide will usually arrange the sightseeing order according to crowd levels and opening times, allowing you to enjoy quieter moments whenever possible.
2. There are no strict requirements for visitors, but we recommend dressing respectfully and keeping a quieter atmosphere inside the temples. Our guide will also explain some local customs and interesting stories behind the temples, making the visit more meaningful.
3. Absolutely. Besides temples, Putuo Island is famous for its beautiful coastline and natural landscapes. We will include time for seaside walks, scenic viewpoints, and relaxed moments by the ocean, so the experience is not only cultural but also enjoyable.

We would be happy to help you discover a more authentic side of Putuo Island!

One of the best nature trips we have taken in China

Guizhou was a fantastic choice for travelers who want something different from the usual China itinerary. Libo Xiaoqikong was like a natural paradise — clear rivers, waterfalls, and green forests everywhere.
The communication before the trip was excellent. The team answered our questions quickly and helped us prepare for the journey. During the tour, everything was organized but still felt flexible and personal.

A wonderful journey

We traveled as a family and were impressed by how smoothly everything was arranged. The route included beautiful landscapes but was not too exhausting. My favorite part was probably the evening in Huanggang Village. It was very different from the places we had visited before — quiet, traditional, and welcoming. We really enjoyed learning about Dong culture from our guide.
Thank you for making our Guizhou trip so comfortable and memorable.
