Meal: Option 1: Mutianyu Great Wall (Recommended for Transit ≤6 Hours)
Your driver and guide will wait for you at the arrival exit of PEK / PKX Airport right after customs clearance, then drive straight to Mutianyu Great Wall. One-way transfer takes about 1 hour from PEK and 1.5 hours from PKX. Mutianyu features wide, well-preserved ramparts, fewer crowds and lush mountain foliage, perfect for short-time transit sightseeing. Take the round-trip cable car uphill to skip steep climbing, wander along No.14–No.17 Watchtowers for panoramic mountain views, and capture classic Great Wall photos within 1–1.5 hours. The guide will strictly control your visiting time to avoid flight delays. After sightseeing, drive directly back to your departure airport with sufficient spare time for connecting flight procedures. Total round trip cycle fits perfectly for 6-hour layover requirements at both Beijing airports.
Option 2: Badaling Great Wall (Recommended for Transit Around 8 Hours)
If you hold an 8-hour layover at PEK or PKX Airport, opt for Badaling Great Wall, the most representative landmark section of the Great Wall. One-way drive takes around 1.2 hours from PEK and 1.8 hours from PKX. This well-developed scenic area features complete service facilities, iconic stone stele and wide, walkable ramparts. Take the cable car to the core viewing zone, stroll the north and south wall sections for 2 hours to appreciate grand ancient frontier military architecture. You can also taste local snacks at on-site restaurants during free time.
