Welcome to Shanghai, the exciting starting point of your China adventure. Upon your arrival, our local team will be waiting for you at the airport with a private vehicle and a warm welcome. Your driver will help with your luggage and transfer you comfortably to your hotel.

After arriving at the hotel, our team will assist you with the check-in process and make sure everything is properly arranged before you settle in. We understand that the first day after a long international flight can be tiring, so we keep the schedule relaxed and leave the rest of the day completely flexible.

You can take this time to rest, adjust to the time difference, explore the neighborhood around your hotel, or enjoy your first taste of Shanghai at your own pace. If you need any recommendations for nearby restaurants, local walks, or evening activities, our team is always happy to share our local suggestions.

Your journey through China officially begins tomorrow — with Shanghai's unique combination of modern energy, historic streets, and local culture waiting to be discovered.

Day 2 Shanghai: The Bund, Yu Garden & French Concession

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your Shanghai exploration officially begins. Your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and take you on a carefully designed route that introduces the city from its most iconic landmarks to its hidden local corners.

We start the day at the Bund, Shanghai's most famous waterfront promenade. Standing along the Huangpu River, you'll see a fascinating contrast that defines modern Shanghai — historic European-style buildings on one side and the futuristic skyline of Pudong on the other. Your guide will share the stories behind the old trading port, the city's rapid transformation, and how Shanghai became one of the world's most influential financial centers.

From the city's grand waterfront, we continue to Yu Garden, a peaceful classical Chinese garden hidden in the middle of the busy old town. As you walk through its elegant pavilions, rockeries, ponds, and winding pathways, you'll discover the traditional Chinese philosophy behind garden design — where every window, bridge, and stone has been carefully placed to create harmony between architecture and nature.

Nearby, we explore the City God Temple area, one of Shanghai's oldest neighborhoods. The narrow streets, traditional-style buildings, and local shops offer a glimpse into everyday Shanghai life. Your guide will help you understand the difference between a typical tourist street and the places where locals still come for traditional snacks and cultural experiences.

For lunch, we arrange a local Shanghai cuisine experience. Instead of simply checking off famous dishes, we'll introduce you to flavors that represent the city's food culture, such as Shanghai-style braised pork, soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), seasonal vegetables, and other regional specialties. Your guide can also help you order based on your preferences, whether you enjoy traditional flavors or lighter options.

In the afternoon, we slow down and move away from the busy downtown streets to explore the Former French Concession, one of Shanghai's most charming areas. Walking beneath the old plane trees, you'll pass historic villas, boutique cafés, quiet residential lanes, and buildings that reflect the city's unique international past.

Rather than rushing from one attraction to another, we leave time for you to experience Shanghai like a local — taking a relaxed walk, stopping for photos, and discovering small details that are often missed on standard sightseeing routes.

Before returning to your hotel, our guide can also share suggestions for your evening, whether you want to enjoy Shanghai's illuminated skyline, try local restaurants, or explore the city at night.

Day 3 Shanghai → Huangshan by High-Speed Train: Tunxi Ancient Street & Huizhou Culture

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your Shanghai journey continues as we leave the fast-paced city behind and head toward one of China's most beautiful mountain regions — Huangshan.

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you comfortably to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. To make your travel day easier, our team will assist you with the station navigation, ticket arrangements, and boarding process, so you don't need to worry about finding the right platform or handling the unfamiliar high-speed rail system.

The high-speed train ride from Shanghai to Huangshan takes around 3 hours. As the city skyline gradually disappears, the scenery outside the window begins to change — modern buildings give way to green countryside, small villages, and rolling hills. This journey is not just a transfer; it is a transition from China's most modern metropolis into a region where traditional culture and natural landscapes have been preserved for centuries.

Upon arrival at Huangshan North Railway Station, your local driver will welcome you and take you to your hotel. After checking in and taking some time to settle in, we begin exploring the charming town of Huangshan.

Our first stop is Tunxi Ancient Street, a historic street that has been the commercial heart of the Huizhou region for hundreds of years. Unlike many newly restored tourist streets, Tunxi still maintains its local atmosphere, with traditional shops, tea houses, ink studios, and old-style buildings lining the stone-paved lanes.

As you walk through the street, you'll notice the distinctive architectural style of Huizhou — white walls, dark tiled roofs, wooden carvings, and elegant courtyards. Your guide will introduce the stories behind this unique culture, including how Huizhou merchants once traveled across China and helped shape the development of trade, education, and architecture.

For lunch, we arrange a traditional Huizhou cuisine experience, allowing you to taste flavors that are closely connected with the mountain environment and local lifestyle. Dishes such as stinky mandarin fish, bamboo shoots, tofu specialties, and seasonal vegetables reflect the region's unique food traditions. Your guide will help explain the dishes and recommend options based on your preferences.

In the afternoon, you can enjoy a more relaxed pace. We recommend spending some time at a local tea house or walking along the old streets to experience the slower rhythm of Huangshan life. This is the perfect moment to prepare yourself for tomorrow's mountain adventure — where misty peaks, ancient pine trees, and breathtaking views await.

Day 4 Huangshan: Huangshan Scenic Area

Accommodation Accommodation:
Overnight stay at a mountain-top hotel
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today is one of the most unforgettable days of your China journey — a day dedicated to experiencing the legendary beauty of Huangshan Mountain, a place that has inspired Chinese painters, poets, and travelers for centuries.

To make the most of your mountain experience, we recommend starting early. After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Huangshan Scenic Area. Our team will arrange the most suitable entrance route and cable car based on the season, weather conditions, and your travel pace, helping you avoid unnecessary waiting and making your mountain adventure more comfortable.

As the cable car slowly rises above the forest, the scenery begins to transform. The villages and valleys gradually disappear beneath you, replaced by towering granite peaks, ancient pine trees growing from cliffs, and clouds drifting between the mountains. This is the moment when Huangshan starts to feel less like a traditional attraction and more like a living Chinese landscape painting.

After arriving at the mountain top, we begin exploring some of Huangshan's most iconic viewpoints. Our first stop is Beginning-to-Believe Peak (Shixin Peak), one of the best places to appreciate Huangshan's famous pine trees and dramatic mountain views. The name itself comes from the feeling visitors have when they finally see the scenery in person — only then do they truly "believe" that such a landscape exists.

Continuing along the mountain trails, we visit Black Tiger Pine, one of Huangshan's most famous ancient pine trees, before heading toward Bright Summit, one of the highest points on the mountain. From here, you'll enjoy a wide-open view of endless peaks stretching into the distance. On clear days, the mountains appear layered one after another; on misty days, the clouds create the mysterious atmosphere that Huangshan is famous for.

For lunch, we arrange a meal at a mountain restaurant. While dining on the mountain, you can enjoy simple but satisfying local dishes while taking a short break before continuing the afternoon exploration.

In the afternoon, depending on weather, physical condition, and your interests, we can explore more scenic areas such as West Sea Grand Canyon, one of Huangshan's most spectacular hiking routes. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and deep valleys, this area offers some of the most impressive views on the entire mountain. For guests who prefer a more relaxed experience, we can adjust the route and focus on the most beautiful viewpoints without rushing.

Unlike a quick day trip, we arrange your overnight stay at a mountain-top hotel, allowing you to experience Huangshan after most visitors have left. As the afternoon crowds disappear, the atmosphere becomes peaceful and quiet. Take your time to enjoy the changing colors of the mountains, watch the sunset over the peaks, and experience the unique feeling of staying above the clouds.

Day 5 Huangshan Sunrise & Hongcun Ancient Village → Zhangjiajie by High-Speed Train

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Wake up early this morning for one last unforgettable moment in Huangshan — sunrise above the sea of clouds.

Depending on the weather conditions, your guide will recommend the best viewing spot near your mountain hotel. As the sky gradually changes color, the mist begins to move between the peaks, revealing Huangshan's iconic granite mountains and ancient pine trees. This quiet moment, surrounded by clouds and mountains, is often the highlight that travelers remember long after leaving Huangshan.

After enjoying the sunrise, return to your hotel for breakfast before checking out. Our team will assist you with your luggage and coordinate the descent from Huangshan Mountain by cable car, ensuring a smooth transition from the mountain area to the next stage of your journey.

After leaving Huangshan, we continue to Hongcun Ancient Village, a UNESCO-listed village known for its elegant Huizhou architecture and peaceful countryside atmosphere. Walking through Hongcun feels like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting. The white walls, dark tiled roofs, stone pathways, and reflections on Moon Pond create a scene that has inspired artists for generations. Your guide will share the stories behind the village's unique layout, the history of Huizhou merchants, and how this architectural style developed in the region. Unlike the dramatic mountain scenery of Huangshan, Hongcun offers a slower and more personal experience — a chance to see how people lived, built, and preserved their traditions hundreds of years ago.

For lunch, we arrange a local Huizhou cuisine experience near the village. You'll have the opportunity to try regional specialties made with local ingredients, while your guide explains the flavors and traditions behind the dishes.

In the afternoon, your private driver will transfer you to Huangshan North Railway Station. Our team will assist you with the high-speed train connection and make sure everything is arranged before departure.

Today's train journey takes you from the peaceful landscapes of Anhui toward Zhangjiajie, another destination famous for its breathtaking natural scenery. As the scenery outside the window changes from mountains and countryside to different landscapes across central China, you'll experience another side of the country beyond the major cities.

After arriving in Zhangjiajie, our local driver will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for tomorrow's adventure among the spectacular sandstone peaks.

Day 6 Zhangjiajie: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park — Yuanjiajie, Avatar Mountains & Tianzi Mountain

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your Zhangjiajie adventure officially begins. Your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, one of China's most spectacular natural landscapes and the inspiration behind the floating mountain scenery seen in the movie Avatar.

Before entering the park, our team will help you arrange the most suitable route based on the season, weather, and your walking preference. Zhangjiajie is a huge scenic area with many different sections, and a well-planned route makes a big difference — allowing you to experience the most impressive viewpoints without spending unnecessary time waiting or walking back and forth.

We begin with Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, one of the most famous areas inside the park. To reach the mountain top, you can experience the Bailong Elevator, the world's highest outdoor elevator built into a cliff (optional depending on your preference and crowd conditions). As the elevator rises along the rock face, the landscape slowly opens in front of you, revealing thousands of towering sandstone pillars surrounded by forests and mist.

At the top, we explore some of Zhangjiajie's most iconic viewpoints:

  • Avatar Hallelujah Mountain — the famous pillar-like peak that inspired the floating mountains in the movie Avatar. Standing here, you'll understand why this landscape feels almost unreal.

  • Mihun Stage (Enchanting Platform) — one of the best viewpoints to appreciate the endless sea of peaks stretching across the valley.

  • First Bridge Under Heaven — a natural stone bridge connecting two cliffs, showcasing the incredible power of nature.

Your guide will share not only the best photo spots but also the geological stories behind these unique quartz sandstone formations, helping you understand how millions of years of natural changes created this extraordinary landscape.

For lunch, we arrange a local meal near the scenic area. Instead of rushing through a simple tourist meal, we choose a comfortable restaurant where you can rest and enjoy regional flavors before continuing the afternoon exploration.

In the afternoon, we continue to Tianzi Mountain, an area famous for its dramatic peaks rising one after another like a natural kingdom of stone towers. From viewpoints such as Helong Park, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the mountain landscape — especially beautiful when clouds drift between the peaks, creating the mysterious atmosphere Zhangjiajie is known for.

As the day comes to an end, we take a relaxed route back from the park. Your driver will transfer you back to the hotel, allowing you to rest after a full day surrounded by nature.

Day 7 Zhangjiajie: Tianmen Mountain Experience → Xi'an by High-Speed Train

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After experiencing Zhangjiajie's spectacular sandstone peaks yesterday, today we explore another side of this region — Tianmen Mountain, where dramatic cliffs, mountain roads, and sky-high viewpoints create a completely different adventure.

After breakfast, your private driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Tianmen Mountain National Park. Our team will arrange the best visiting route according to the weather and crowd conditions, helping you make the most of your time at this popular attraction.

Your experience begins with the famous Tianmen Mountain Cableway, one of the world's longest passenger cableways. As the cable car slowly climbs from the city toward the mountaintop, the scenery changes dramatically beneath you — from urban views to forests, cliffs, and endless mountain landscapes. On clear days, you can look down at the winding 99 Bends Road, a spectacular mountain road that has become one of Zhangjiajie's most recognizable sights.

At the top of the mountain, we explore the highlights of Tianmen Mountain:

  • Tianmen Cave (Heaven's Gate) — a natural arch carved into the mountain cliff and one of Zhangjiajie's most iconic landmarks. Standing beneath this enormous opening, you can truly feel the scale and power of nature.

  • Glass Skywalk — walk along the transparent glass path attached to the cliffside (optional), offering a thrilling perspective of the valley far below.

  • Mountain-top Walkways — enjoy peaceful trails surrounded by cliffs, forests, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Compared with the towering peaks of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain offers a more dramatic "above the clouds" experience. Here, the highlight is not only the scenery itself but also the feeling of standing on the edge of a mountain surrounded by open sky.

For lunch, we arrange a convenient local meal before beginning the next stage of your journey.

In the afternoon, we leave Zhangjiajie and continue to Xi'an by high-speed train. Your driver will transfer you to the railway station, and our team will assist with the train arrangements to make the departure process simple and comfortable.

During the journey, you'll watch the scenery change from the mountains of Hunan to the landscapes of central China. This transition also marks the next chapter of your trip — from China's natural wonders into the heart of its ancient civilization.

Upon arrival at Xi'an Railway Station, our local driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the evening is yours to relax or take a short walk nearby. If you would like to experience Xi'an's famous night atmosphere, our team can recommend nearby areas for local food and evening exploration.

Day 8 Xi'an: Terracotta Warriors, City Wall & Tang Dynasty Culture

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After exploring China's incredible natural landscapes in Huangshan and Zhangjiajie, today you'll step into a completely different chapter of Chinese history — Xi'an, the ancient capital where thousands of years of civilization come to life.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin your Xi'an exploration. Our team carefully arranges today's route to balance the must-see historical sites with local experiences, allowing you to understand not only what you are seeing, but also the stories behind these remarkable places.

We begin with the world-famous Terracotta Warriors Museum, one of China's greatest archaeological discoveries and often considered a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Located near the tomb of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, this underground army was created more than 2,000 years ago to protect the emperor in the afterlife. As you walk through the exhibition halls and see thousands of life-sized soldiers, horses, and chariots standing silently in formation, it is hard not to be amazed by the craftsmanship, organization, and ambition of the Qin Dynasty. Your guide will help bring the site to life by explaining how the warriors were discovered, why each figure has unique facial features, and what this incredible project reveals about ancient Chinese technology and power. Instead of simply taking photos, you'll understand the historical stories behind the sculptures.

For lunch, we arrange a local Xi'an dining experience where you can try some of the city's most famous specialties. Depending on your preferences, you may enjoy dishes such as biangbiang noodles, roujiamo (Chinese-style meat burger), dumplings, and other Shaanxi flavors. Your guide will introduce the local food culture and recommend dishes that match your taste.

In the afternoon, we return to the city center to explore the Xi'an Ancient City Wall, one of the best-preserved city walls in China. Walking or cycling along the top of the wall offers a unique perspective of Xi'an — traditional watchtowers and ancient architecture stand alongside modern city streets, showing the connection between the past and present.

As the day continues, we visit the lively Muslim Quarter, one of Xi'an's most famous food and cultural areas. Beyond the busy street stalls, this historic neighborhood reflects the city's role as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, where different cultures and communities met for centuries. Your guide will help you discover local snacks, hidden food spots, and the stories behind this unique area. It's the perfect place to experience Xi'an after sunset, when lanterns light up the streets and the city feels full of history and energy.

After a full day of exploring, your private driver will transfer you back to the hotel where you can relax and prepare for the next stage of your China journey.

Day 9 Xi'an → Beijing by High-Speed Train: Big Wild Goose Pagoda & Tang Dynasty Memories

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today marks the transition from China's ancient western capital to its modern political and imperial center. Before leaving Xi'an, we'll spend the morning exploring more of the city's cultural heritage before taking a comfortable high-speed train to Beijing.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. Rather than rushing directly to the train station, we arrange a relaxed morning to experience another side of Xi'an — beyond the Terracotta Warriors, through the city's connection with Buddhism, the Silk Road, and the glorious Tang Dynasty.

We begin at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayan Pagoda), one of Xi'an's most recognizable landmarks and an important symbol of Chinese Buddhist history. Built during the Tang Dynasty, the pagoda once served as a place to preserve and translate Buddhist scriptures brought back from India by the famous monk Xuanzang.

As you walk around the ancient pagoda and the surrounding temple area, your guide will share stories about the Tang Dynasty — a period when Xi'an was the starting point of the Silk Road and one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Merchants, scholars, and travelers from different countries once gathered here, bringing together ideas, cultures, and traditions from across Asia.

For lunch, we arrange a local Shaanxi meal before departure. This is another opportunity to experience Xi'an's distinctive food culture, from handmade noodles to traditional local dishes that reflect the flavors of northwest China.

After lunch, your driver will transfer you to Xi'an Railway Station. Our team will assist you with the high-speed train departure, including luggage handling and station navigation, making sure your journey to Beijing is smooth and comfortable.

The high-speed train ride from Xi'an to Beijing takes approximately 4.5–6 hours. As you travel across China, the scenery gradually changes from the loess landscapes of northwest China to the plains surrounding the capital. It is a unique way to see the scale and diversity of the country.

Upon arrival at Beijing Railway Station, our local driver will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you directly to your hotel. After check-in, the evening is yours to relax after the journey. For those who still have energy, our team can recommend nearby evening experiences, such as exploring Qianmen Street, enjoying traditional Beijing snacks, or taking a walk around the illuminated city streets.

Tomorrow, your Beijing adventure begins — exploring the heart of China's imperial history.

Day 10 Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City & Jingshan Park

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today, your Beijing journey officially begins with the heart of China's imperial history. After exploring ancient capitals and natural wonders across the country, you'll now step into the world of emperors, royal ceremonies, and centuries of Chinese tradition.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the historic center of Beijing. Since many of the city's most important landmarks are located within the central area, our team will arrange the route carefully to make the most of your day while avoiding unnecessary walking and waiting time.

We begin at Tiananmen Square, one of the most recognizable public spaces in China and a place deeply connected with the country's modern history. Standing in the vast square surrounded by important landmarks, you'll get a sense of the scale and importance of Beijing as the nation's capital. Your guide will introduce the stories behind the square, including its role in China's history and the buildings surrounding it, helping you understand the significance of this location beyond simply taking photos.

From Tiananmen Square, we enter the magnificent Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of China's Ming and Qing dynasties. For nearly 500 years, this enormous palace complex was home to emperors, royal families, and thousands of court officials. Walking through the red walls and golden rooftops, you'll discover a world carefully designed around imperial traditions and Chinese philosophy. Your guide will explain the meaning behind the palace layout, the importance of the central axis, and the stories of the emperors who once lived here.

Rather than rushing through the palace, we focus on the most meaningful areas, including:

  • Meridian Gate — the grand entrance where imperial ceremonies began.

  • Hall of Supreme Harmony — the most important ceremonial building in the Forbidden City.

  • Palace courtyards and inner residences — where you can learn about royal life behind the impressive architecture.

For lunch, we arrange a local Beijing-style meal. You'll have the chance to try traditional dishes such as Beijing roasted duck, noodles, and regional specialties, while your guide helps you understand the food culture of northern China.

In the afternoon, we continue to Jingshan Park, located just behind the Forbidden City. This small but historically significant hill offers one of the best panoramic views of Beijing's old city. From the top, you can look across the golden rooftops of the Forbidden City and see how the ancient capital was carefully planned around its central axis.

After enjoying the view, we take a more relaxed walk through the surrounding historic area. Depending on your interests and timing, we can also explore nearby traditional neighborhoods and hutong streets, where old Beijing life still exists alongside the modern city.

At the end of the day, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel. After a day surrounded by imperial history, you'll have the evening free to relax or enjoy Beijing's vibrant night scene.

Day 11 Beijing: Great Wall Adventure — Mutianyu Great Wall & Olympic

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today, you'll experience one of the most iconic symbols of China — the Great Wall, a masterpiece of ancient engineering built across mountains and valleys for thousands of years.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved and most scenic sections of the Great Wall near Beijing. Compared with some of the busier sections closer to the city, Mutianyu offers a more comfortable and rewarding experience. Surrounded by forested mountains, this section is known for its impressive watchtowers, beautiful natural scenery, and a more relaxed atmosphere. Our team chooses this route because it allows you to truly enjoy the Great Wall itself rather than spending most of your time navigating large crowds.

During the drive to Mutianyu, your guide will introduce the history of the Great Wall and explain why this enormous defensive system was built, how soldiers lived along the wall, and how different dynasties expanded and protected these mountain routes.

Upon arrival, we arrange the most suitable way to reach the wall based on your preference and physical condition. You can take the cable car up for a more relaxed experience or enjoy a more active approach. Once on the wall, you'll have time to walk between the ancient watchtowers, admire the incredible mountain views, and take in the scale of this extraordinary structure.

Standing on the Great Wall, surrounded by endless mountain ridges, you'll understand why this place has become one of China's greatest symbols. The experience is not only about seeing an ancient monument — it is about feeling the history beneath your feet and appreciating the effort of the people who built it centuries ago. Your guide will also help you find some of the best viewpoints for photos and adjust the walking route according to your pace. Whether you prefer a short scenic walk or a longer exploration between watchtowers, we can customize the experience to make the day comfortable and enjoyable.

For lunch, we arrange a local meal near the Great Wall area, allowing you to rest and enjoy regional dishes before returning to Beijing.

In the afternoon, we head back toward the city and visit the Beijing Olympic Park, built for the 2008 Olympic Games. Here, you can see the famous Bird's Nest Stadium and Water Cube from the outside and experience the contrast between ancient China's engineering achievements and its modern international image. As the sun begins to set, the Olympic area offers a completely different atmosphere from the historical sites you visited yesterday. It represents another side of Beijing — a modern capital looking toward the future while preserving its past.

After the tour, your private driver will transfer you back to your hotel. You can enjoy a relaxing evening or ask our team for recommendations for nearby restaurants and evening activities.

Day 12 Beijing: Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace & Hutong Life

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After exploring Beijing's imperial landmarks and the Great Wall, today we slow down and discover a more elegant and local side of the capital — from royal gardens and ancient rituals to the traditional neighborhoods where everyday Beijing life continues.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and begin today's cultural journey. Compared with the grandeur of the Forbidden City and the scale of the Great Wall, today's route focuses more on atmosphere, traditions, and the lifestyle behind Beijing's historic image.

We start at the Temple of Heaven, one of Beijing's most remarkable examples of ancient Chinese architecture and a place where emperors once performed important ceremonies to pray for good harvests. Walking through the peaceful park, you'll notice that this is not only a historical attraction but also a place where local residents gather every morning. Elderly locals practice Tai Chi, play traditional instruments, and socialize under the ancient trees, offering a glimpse into the daily rhythm of Beijing life. Your guide will introduce the meaning behind the temple's unique circular design, the relationship between ancient Chinese beliefs and architecture, and why this place was considered one of the most important spiritual centers of the imperial era.

For lunch, we arrange a local Beijing dining experience. Depending on your preferences, you can enjoy classic northern Chinese dishes and explore flavors beyond the famous Beijing roast duck. Your guide will help select dishes that match your taste and introduce the food traditions of the capital.

In the afternoon, we continue to the beautiful Summer Palace, the former royal retreat where emperors and their families escaped the summer heat of the Forbidden City. Unlike the formal atmosphere of the imperial palace, the Summer Palace feels more like a carefully designed landscape painting. You'll walk beside Kunming Lake, explore traditional pavilions, and admire the harmony between mountains, water, and architecture. Your guide will share the stories behind Empress Dowager Cixi, the Long Corridor, and how Chinese garden design reflects the relationship between humans and nature.

Later, we leave the grand royal gardens behind and enter one of Beijing's most charming traditional areas — the hutongs. These narrow alleyways are where old Beijing culture truly comes alive. As you walk through the historic lanes, you'll see traditional courtyard homes, small local shops, and quiet corners that reveal a completely different side of the city. Your guide will explain how Beijing families lived in these neighborhoods and how hutong culture has adapted to modern life.

Depending on your interests, we can arrange a more immersive experience, such as a short rickshaw ride, a visit to a traditional courtyard, or simply a relaxed walk through the old streets while enjoying the atmosphere.

After the tour, your driver will take you back to your hotel. This evening is yours to enjoy your final night in Beijing — whether you prefer a farewell dinner, a cultural performance, or simply a relaxing walk through the illuminated city.

Day 13 Beijing Departure

After 13 days of exploring China's most iconic landscapes, ancient cities, and cultural treasures, today marks the end of your journey. Enjoy a relaxed morning at your hotel. Depending on your departure time, you can take your final moments in Beijing at your own pace — perhaps enjoying a quiet breakfast, taking a short walk nearby, or doing some last-minute shopping for souvenirs.

When it's time to leave, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and provide a private transfer to Beijing Capital International Airport or Beijing Daxing International Airport. We will arrange the pickup time according to your flight schedule and make sure you arrive at the airport comfortably with enough time for check-in and departure procedures.

As you leave Beijing, you'll take home memories of Shanghai's city lights, Huangshan's misty peaks, Zhangjiajie's dramatic landscapes, Xi'an's ancient warriors, and the Great Wall stretching across the mountains.

We wanted to visit Putuo Mountain but were worried about the complicated transportation connections from Hangzhou. This private tour made everything much easier. The driver picked us up from our hotel in the morning, helped us with the ferry transfer, and explained what to expect before arriving on the island. Putuo Mountain itself was beautiful and peaceful. Walking through the temples surrounded by trees and hearing the ocean nearby was a very special experience. We never felt rushed, which made the trip much more enjoyable.

Thank you, Elara! We're glad we could make your journey to Putuo Mountain smooth and relaxing. The ferry transfer can be confusing for first-time visitors, so we're happy that our team could take care of the details and let you focus on enjoying the temples, forests, and coastal scenery.

Questions about Putuo Island

Hi, I'm interested in this private tour because we would like to experience the cultural side of Putuo Island rather than just visit the famous spots. I have a few questions:
1. Are the temples on Putuo Island very crowded? Is there a better time of day to visit them?
2. Do we need to follow any special rules when visiting Buddhist temples?
3. Will we have time to enjoy the seaside scenery, or is the itinerary mainly focused on temples?

Hi Caelan,
Thank you for your questions! We really appreciate that you are interested in experiencing the deeper cultural side of Putuo Island. It is not only a Buddhist destination but also a beautiful island with forests, beaches, and coastal scenery.
1. The main temples, especially Puji Temple, can become busy during weekends and holiday periods. To provide a better experience, our guide will usually arrange the sightseeing order according to crowd levels and opening times, allowing you to enjoy quieter moments whenever possible.
2. There are no strict requirements for visitors, but we recommend dressing respectfully and keeping a quieter atmosphere inside the temples. Our guide will also explain some local customs and interesting stories behind the temples, making the visit more meaningful.
3. Absolutely. Besides temples, Putuo Island is famous for its beautiful coastline and natural landscapes. We will include time for seaside walks, scenic viewpoints, and relaxed moments by the ocean, so the experience is not only cultural but also enjoyable.

We would be happy to help you discover a more authentic side of Putuo Island!

One of the best nature trips we have taken in China

Guizhou was a fantastic choice for travelers who want something different from the usual China itinerary. Libo Xiaoqikong was like a natural paradise — clear rivers, waterfalls, and green forests everywhere.
The communication before the trip was excellent. The team answered our questions quickly and helped us prepare for the journey. During the tour, everything was organized but still felt flexible and personal.

A wonderful journey

We traveled as a family and were impressed by how smoothly everything was arranged. The route included beautiful landscapes but was not too exhausting. My favorite part was probably the evening in Huanggang Village. It was very different from the places we had visited before — quiet, traditional, and welcoming. We really enjoyed learning about Dong culture from our guide.
Thank you for making our Guizhou trip so comfortable and memorable.
