Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)

Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Welcome to Shanghai, China's most dynamic international city! Upon your arrival at Shanghai Airport or train station, our local driver will be waiting for you at the arrival hall with a welcome sign. Instead of dealing with unfamiliar transportation or language barriers after a long journey, you can simply relax while we take you directly to your hotel.

After check-in, you'll have time to rest and adjust to the city's rhythm. Depending on your arrival time and energy level, our team can also help arrange optional evening activities, such as enjoying the illuminated Bund skyline or exploring a nearby local neighborhood.

Your first evening in China begins comfortably and stress-free.

Day 2 Shanghai → Suzhou by High-Speed Train: Humble Administrator's Garden, Pingjiang Road Historic District, Lion Grove Garden

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast at your hotel, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Shanghai railway station. With our team assisting you with train arrangements and luggage handling tips, you'll take a comfortable high-speed train to Suzhou, which takes around 30–40 minutes. Known as the "Venice of the East," Suzhou offers a completely different atmosphere from Shanghai. Here, elegant gardens, quiet canals, and traditional architecture create a slower and more poetic side of China. After arriving in Suzhou, your private guide and driver will meet you at the station and begin your city exploration.

Your first stop is Humble Administrator's Garden, the most famous classical garden in Suzhou and a masterpiece of Chinese landscape design. As you walk through winding paths, delicate bridges, and peaceful ponds, your guide will explain how ancient Chinese scholars created gardens as a reflection of nature and philosophy.

Continue to Pingjiang Road Historic District, one of Suzhou's most charming old streets. Unlike commercial sightseeing streets, Pingjiang Road still preserves its traditional lifestyle, where you can see locals drinking tea by the canal, traditional buildings along the water, and small craft shops hidden in old lanes.

For lunch, we will arrange a local Suzhou restaurant where you can taste classic Suzhou cuisine, known for its delicate flavors and fresh ingredients.

In the afternoon, visit Lion Grove Garden, famous for its unique rock formations and maze-like paths, offering a fun and interactive garden experience.

After sightseeing, our driver will take you back to your Suzhou hotel.

Day 3 Suzhou → Wuxi by Private Vehicle: Lingshan Grand Buddha & Taihu Lake Scenic Area

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive approximately 1 hour to Wuxi, a beautiful lakeside city located beside Taihu Lake. Today, you'll experience a different side of Jiangnan — peaceful mountains, Buddhist culture, and natural scenery.

Your first visit is Lingshan Grand Buddha, one of the most impressive Buddhist cultural sites in East China. Standing at 88 meters tall, the bronze Buddha statue overlooks the surrounding mountains and lake, creating a spectacular atmosphere.

Beyond the giant statue itself, the area features beautiful Buddhist architecture, including the Nine Dragons Bathing Shakyamuni, where a large-scale cultural performance shows the birth story of Buddha through music, water, and light effects. Your guide will help you understand the meaning behind these fascinating traditions instead of simply taking photos.

Enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant near the scenic area, allowing you to taste Wuxi specialties such as sweet-style local dishes and fresh lake ingredients.

In the afternoon, continue to Nianhua Bay (Nianhua Town), a peaceful cultural resort inspired by traditional Chinese Zen aesthetics. With wooden buildings, lantern-lit streets, gardens, and quiet pathways, it feels like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting.

Before sunset, enjoy a relaxing walk around Taihu Lake, one of China's largest freshwater lakes. The combination of water views, distant mountains, and evening light creates a perfect ending to your Wuxi experience.

After sightseeing, your driver will take you back to Suzhou.

Day 4 Suzhou → Nanjing by High-Speed Train: Nanjing Museum & Qinhuai River Evening View

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, we will transfer you from your Suzhou hotel to the railway station. Take a high-speed train to Nanjing, which takes approximately 1–1.5 hours. Nanjing is one of China's most historically significant cities, serving as the capital of several ancient dynasties. Compared with Shanghai's modern energy and Suzhou's elegant gardens, Nanjing offers a deeper connection with China's history.

Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at Nanjing station and take you for lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit Nanjing Museum, one of China's largest museums. Through ancient artworks, historical collections, and cultural exhibitions, you'll gain a better understanding of China's long history.

Later, explore Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao) Area along the Qinhuai River. During the evening, the traditional buildings reflected on the river create one of Nanjing's most beautiful night scenes.

Your driver will then transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 5 Nanjing:Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum & Nanjing City Wall

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and continue exploring Nanjing, a city where ancient history and modern life exist side by side.

Your first stop is Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum (Zhongshan Mountain Scenic Area), located on the beautiful Purple Mountain. The mausoleum is dedicated to Dr. Sun Yat-sen, known as the "Father of Modern China." To reach the memorial hall, you'll walk along a grand staircase surrounded by green trees and peaceful mountain scenery. Your guide will explain the historical background behind this important landmark and help you appreciate not only the architecture but also its symbolic meaning.

Continue exploring the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the burial site of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, founder of the Ming Dynasty. Unlike many historical sites that focus only on buildings, this area combines history with nature. Walking along the famous Sacred Way, you'll see ancient stone statues standing among centuries-old trees, creating one of the most atmospheric historical landscapes in Nanjing.

For lunch, we will take you to a carefully selected local restaurant where you can enjoy Nanjing specialties. Depending on your preference, we can arrange classic dishes such as Nanjing salted duck, traditional Jiangsu cuisine, or lighter local flavors suitable for different tastes.

In the afternoon, visit the impressive Nanjing City Wall, one of the largest and best-preserved ancient city walls in China. Unlike the straight walls often seen in other cities, Nanjing's city wall follows the natural landscape of the mountains and rivers. Standing on the wall, you can enjoy views of the old city, modern buildings, and nearby Xuanwu Lake, creating a unique contrast between ancient and contemporary Nanjing.

Later, continue to the Presidential Palace, a landmark that witnessed many important events in China's modern history. The combination of traditional gardens, historic government buildings, and European-style architecture makes this site a fascinating place to understand Nanjing's transformation through different eras.

After the tour, your driver will escort you back to your hotel. You can spend the evening relaxing or explore Nanjing's local dining scene with our recommendations.

Day 6 Nanjing → Shanghai by High-Speed Train: Yu Garden, French Concession & The Bund Night View

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your Nanjing hotel and transfer you to the railway station for your high-speed train back to Shanghai. The train journey takes around 1.5 hours, offering a comfortable and efficient way to travel between these two major cities. Our team will assist with train arrangements in advance, so you can simply enjoy the ride and watch the changing scenery from inland Jiangsu back toward the bustling Shanghai metropolis.

Upon arrival at Shanghai railway station, your local guide and private driver will meet you and begin your Shanghai exploration.

Start your day at Yu Garden, one of Shanghai's most famous classical gardens. Built over 400 years ago during the Ming Dynasty, Yu Garden represents the elegant garden style of southern China. Your guide will introduce the stories behind the pavilions, rockeries, ponds, and hidden pathways, helping you discover the details that are easy to miss when visiting on your own.

Just outside the garden, explore the nearby City God Temple Old Street, where traditional shops, local snacks, and historic buildings create a lively atmosphere. This is a great place to experience the contrast between old Shanghai traditions and the city's modern lifestyle.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant where we will introduce you to Shanghai flavors, such as xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and other regional specialties.

In the afternoon, slow down and experience another side of Shanghai at the French Concession. Walking beneath the tree-lined streets, passing historic villas and quiet residential lanes, you'll discover why locals consider this one of the most charming areas of the city. Compared with Shanghai's skyscrapers, this neighborhood offers a more relaxed and elegant atmosphere.

As the sun sets, head to the Bund, Shanghai's most iconic waterfront. The view here perfectly represents the city's unique character — historic European-style buildings on one side and the futuristic skyline of Pudong on the other. Your guide will share stories about Shanghai's development from a trading port into one of the world's most influential cities.

After enjoying the night view, your driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 7 Shanghai: Tianzifang, Xintiandi & Lujiazui Financial District

Accommodation Accommodation:
4 star/5 star hotel/botique hotel (can be customized)
MealMeal:
Meals are flexible and can be included or excluded. When included, authentic local dining will be arranged.

Today is designed to help you discover Shanghai beyond the typical sightseeing route and experience the city from a more local perspective. After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel.

Begin your morning at Tianzifang, a creative neighborhood hidden inside Shanghai's traditional Shikumen (stone gate) houses. Unlike newly built shopping streets, Tianzifang grew from an authentic residential area and still keeps its narrow lanes and old Shanghai atmosphere. You can wander through small art studios, independent shops, cafés, and local corners while experiencing the city's unique blend of tradition and creativity.

Continue to Xintiandi, another neighborhood where old and new Shanghai meet beautifully. The restored Shikumen buildings preserve the city's architectural heritage while housing modern restaurants, boutiques, and lifestyle spaces. Your guide will explain how these traditional homes reflect Shanghai's social history and changing urban culture.

After lunch, explore Shanghai's modern skyline at Lujiazui Financial District, home to some of China's most recognizable landmarks, including Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Oriental Pearl Tower. Standing among these towering buildings, you'll see another side of Shanghai — a city that constantly reinvents itself while preserving its past.

Depending on your interests, we can customize the remaining time:
· For families, we can arrange interactive experiences or kid-friendly attractions.
· For culture lovers, we can add museums or historical neighborhoods.
· For shopping enthusiasts, we can recommend the best local shopping areas and brands.

After a relaxed day exploring Shanghai, we will provide a comfortable transfer back to your hotel.

Questions About the Itinerary

Hello, the itinerary looks exactly like the kind of Guizhou experience we are looking for. We would love to explore the local villages and learn more about Miao and Dong culture instead of just visiting the popular attractions. I have a few questions before booking:
1. Since some villages seem quite remote, how comfortable is the transportation between each destination?
2. Will we have opportunities to interact with local people and experience the traditional ceremonies?

Hi Marlowe,
Thank you for your message! We are happy to hear that this Guizhou itinerary matches what you are looking for. This route is specially designed for travelers who want to experience the authentic side of Guizhou, including traditional villages, local crafts, and ethnic culture.
Please see our answers below:
1. We arrange a private vehicle with an experienced local driver throughout the journey. Although some Miao and Dong villages are located deep in the mountains, the roads are in good condition, and you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery comfortably between stops.
2. Yes, cultural interaction is one of the highlights of this tour. You will experience the Miao welcome ceremony with the 12-course "block-the-door wine," visit local craft workshops, and enjoy authentic village life in places like Huanggang and Zhaoxing.

We will also adjust the pace according to your preferences to make sure you enjoy the journey comfortably.

Combining Yangshuo Tour with Other Destinations

Hello, we are planning our China trip and would like to include Guilin and Yangshuo in our itinerary.
1. Is one day enough to see the highlights of Yangshuo?
2. Can this tour be combined with a visit to Longji Rice Terraces?
3. Would you recommend staying overnight in Yangshuo?
Buer China Travel

Hi Amara,
Thank you for your message! The ideal length of stay in Yangshuo depends on your travel style, but we're happy to share some suggestions.
1. A one-day trip is enough to experience the most iconic highlights, including the Yulong River scenery, West Street area, and countryside landscapes. It is a great option for travelers staying in Guilin with limited time.

2. Longji and Yangshuo are located in different directions, so combining both in one day would make the schedule too rushed. We usually recommend arranging them as separate day trips or adding an extra night.

3. If you have more time, staying overnight allows you to enjoy Yangshuo's relaxed evening atmosphere, local restaurants, and countryside scenery without rushing back to Guilin.

Questions About Sunrise, Photography & Best Hiking Route

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Huangshan and this itinerary looks exactly like what I'm looking for. I'm especially interested in sunrise photography and the mountain scenery. I have a few questions before booking:
1. Which sunrise viewpoint would you recommend if we stay overnight on Huangshan Mountain?
2. Does the itinerary include places like Bright Summit and Xihai Scenic Area?
3. How much hiking is involved each day? I'm comfortable walking but would prefer a route with the best views rather than the most difficult trails.
4. What time do we usually start the hike on the second day?

Hi Isolde,
Thank you for your message! We're glad to hear that you're interested in this Huangshan journey. Huangshan is one of the best destinations in China for sunrise and landscape photography, and we'd be happy to help you arrange a route that balances beautiful views and comfortable walking.
1. The sunrise viewpoint depends on your hotel location and weather conditions, but popular options include Bright Summit and areas near Beihai.
2. Yes, we can adjust the route according to your interests. Bright Summit is one of Huangshan’s classic viewpoints, while Xihai Scenic Area offers some of the most dramatic mountain landscapes. We can recommend the best combination based on your hiking preference and available time.
3. The hiking distance depends on the route selected. The classic Back Mountain route after taking the Yungu Cable Car is relatively comfortable, while some areas such as Xihai involve more stairs and longer walking. Our guide can help adjust the pace during the tour.
4. Usually, we recommend starting early to enjoy the quieter mountain atmosphere and better lighting for photography. The exact timing will depend on the sunrise time and weather conditions.

We hope you enjoy capturing the most beautiful moments of Huangshan!

Perfect for pearl shopping with my family

We booked this tour because my mother wanted to buy a pearl necklace, and we didn’t feel confident going to Zhuji on our own. The journey from Hangzhou was very easy, and we appreciated being picked up directly from our hotel. The pearl market was huge with so many choices, from simple everyday jewelry to more elegant pieces. We enjoyed taking our time to look around instead of being rushed.
